21st Century Youth Program at Gloria J. Parks Community Center Receives Eugene T. Reville Education Award

Congratulations to Shae Herron, our Youth Program Director at the Gloria J. Parks Community Center, and to all our Youth Program staff for being honored with the Eugene T. Reville Education Award. Shae and Michael Tritto, Jr., the UDCDA’s Associate Director of Operations and Human Services, attended the EPIC (Every Person Influences Children) Annual Award Banquet on November 7th to accept the award on behalf of our 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program.
EPIC is one of our youth program partners, providing our children’s parents with educational workshops to help with parenting, and life management skills each school year. EPIC staff nominated the Gloria J. Parks youth program because they believe the program is running a “best practices” model of after school programming.
We can’t thank Shae enough for providing the strong leadership and vision necessary to make this program a success. She has selected talented team members to teach and mentor our children throughout the year. Congratulations to all of our Youth Program staff!
