July Youth News

Our 21st Century Youth Summer Camp is providing 125 children in grades K to 8 a high quality program of academic and recreation enrichment, 40 hours a week till August 14.  This free program is so popular that we have 75 children on our waiting list.
The Food for Thought teen programs started in June.  The program is free and open to teen girls who attend Buffalo Public Schools. Every Thursday girls will learn how to cook a healthy meal, and gain information on life skills and about healthy eating. We had a wonderful turn out of teens with numbers increasing each week all the way to 14 girls. The girls learned how to make small snacks during the first few weeks like granola, ice cream as well as salsa and Guacamole. Planned Parenthood was our first guest speaker.
In July and August the girls will be learning to cook healthy meals and we will be inviting more guests to come and speak to the girls about school, careers, and life skills.
