Spring It On
The University District Community Development Association (UDCDA) is participating in Spring It On for the first time ever on Thursday, March 24th!
Spring It On is a 24-hour online fundraiser sponsored by the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County that encourages people to support the many nonprofits working to make the Buffalo Niagara region a better place to live.
You might know the UDCDA as Gloria J. Parks Community Center or Kensington-Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services. Together we work with residents, block clubs, community nonprofits, educational institutions, and local government to invest resources in the people and places that matter most to our community.
Spring It On is an opportunity to support two of our ongoing programs working to make a difference in our community:
- Food For Thought: An innovative program teaching teen girls in Buffalo the importance of nutrition, self-esteem, and leadership.
- Bailey Fights Blight: A project using public art and community engagement to fight blight and spur investment on Bailey Avenue.
