University Community Farmers Market Seeks Vendors

This year will mark the third season of the University Community Farmers Market, which is held on the South Campus over the summer and early fall seasons. A collaboration between the University at Buffalo, the surrounding South Campus neighborhoods and local organizations, the market serves as a way to promote wellness and community sustainability through the availability of fresh produce and locally grown food.

Currently the market is seeking food vendors for the upcoming season. Specifically we are looking for farms and companies who grow fruits and vegetables, plants or flowers, but all interest is welcome. Held on the Main Street sidewalk at Kenmore Avenue, it is in a highly visible vehicular and pedestrian area that connects three townships. There is no vendor fee, participation is free!

This year the market will run May 16 – October 17 from 8:00am – 1:00pm, except July 4. For more information on participating in the market, please contact Jessica Biegaj in the Office of Community Relations at 716-829-6145 or jbiegaj@buffalo.edu.
